Achadas da Cruz is a freguesia of just 300 inhabitants located in the area of the small town of Porto Moniz, in the northwest of Madeira Island.
One of the most famous activities in this village is the cable car that leads to the beach, offering an incredible view and a breathtaking descent of over 700m!
The village is very small, but if you continue on E.R. 101 you will come across a panoramic view of Porto Moniz. There is also the Levada do Moinho which starts not far from the village.
