Madeira is a volcanic land with many water sources. This is also why it is called the island of flowers, the garden of the Atlantic: there is no lack of water in the vegetation. There are more than 100 waterfalls to discover on the small island. Here is a selection of photos, each more beautiful than the last, with beautiful streams of water in the middle of this green paradise that is Madeira's laurel forest.
Among the waterfall photos published here you will find the Risco waterfall, the Alecrim waterfall, the 25 fountains, and some of the Caldeirao Verde waterfalls. All these waterfalls can be discovered during a walk along the levadas.
La cascade "lagoa do vento" à Rabaçal dont l'accès n'est pas très connu. Merci!
