Probably one of the most emblematic waterfalls in Madeira. Located between Porto Moniz and Sao Vicente, east of the village of Seixal, it falls into the ocean at a height of over 110 metres. Impressive!
The waterfall is no longer accessible due to the old E.R. 101 road which has collapsed. Nevertheless, it is possible to see it from Seixal. Many tourist buses stop at the car park east of the waterfall to admire it from afar. It's a bit sad, but as it's one of the most beautiful spots on the island, it's not surprising.
