The 25 Fountains site is one of Madeira's best known places to discover. Accessible from the PR6 Levada des 25 Fontaines and do Risco walk, it takes us to a remarkable site with turquoise waters, after following one of the island's many irrigation channels for a few kilometres.
The waterfall forms a small lagoon with transparent waters, something to marvel at after a walk in the laurisilva forest, amidst flowers and ferns. A heavenly place? Almost! The place is very touristy, since the levada of the 25 fountains is one of the most accessible. A real tourist highway. You will have to be ingenious to discover it in peace!
