Ribeira da Janela Islets - Madeira

The islets of Ribeira de Janela are impossible to miss when visiting the northwest coast of the island. Facing the beautiful valley of Ribeira de Janela, these small rocky islets literally emerge from the ocean, making the place a superb spot.

In fact, each islet has its own name:

    Ilheus da Janela
    Ilheus da Rib
    Ilheuzinho (which means: small island)

There are beautiful viewpoints in the various cliffs around Ribeira de Janela, from which you can observe the islets: the Miradouro da Fajã do Barro, to the west, close to the terraced crops, or directly on the edge of the village of Ribeira da Janela: the Eira da Achada viewpoint.

If you wish to continue visiting the north coast in tourist mode, I would obviously recommend the natural pools of Porto Moniz or Seixal, just a few minutes from this famous site.
