Garganta Funda waterfall

The Garganta Funda waterfall is one of the highest waterfalls in Madeira. The Ribeiro dos Moinhos River flows from the cliff of the Ponta do Pargo and ends in the ocean.

To get there you need to go to the Garganta Funda viewpoint, a 5 minute walk from the village. You can observe Ponta do Pargo and its lighthouse, and of course the 300-metre high cliffs along the north-west coast of the island.
